Development Leader Brings Extensive Experience to Fuel Transformative Growth

Washington, D.C., March 20, 2024 — After a nationwide search, ZERO Prostate Cancer is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Kramer as its new Chief Development Officer. Kramer brings a wealth of experience and expertise in nonprofit development strategy, with past leadership roles at Carter Philanthropy, Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, Parkinson’s Foundation, American Cancer Society, and the American Red Cross.

With a distinguished track record in philanthropy and organizational growth, Kramer has demonstrated exemplary leadership in various roles throughout his career. Before joining ZERO Prostate Cancer, Kramer was the Managing Director at Carter Philanthropy in Miami, FL, where he spearheaded transformative initiatives and boosted revenue for diverse organizations. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, where he achieved a remarkable 100% revenue increase during the pandemic, securing more than $16 million in funding.

During his tenure as the Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at the Parkinson's Foundation, Kramer played a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and implementing diverse fundraising strategies, elevating revenue to over $40 million within two years. Through data-driven strategies, Kramer also led the establishment of a robust major giving program while effectively communicating the organization's impactful work.

At ZERO Prostate Cancer, Kramer will lead the organization's comprehensive development strategies to drive transformative giving and foster collaborative partnerships to support the mission of ending prostate cancer. He will oversee all aspects of fundraising and development, including corporate partnerships, donor relations, major gifts, peer-to-peer fundraising, and new revenue streams. He will collaborate with stakeholders, including ZERO’s Board of Directors and fellow team members, to develop and implement fundraising at new levels to propel organizational growth.
