Advocacy & Policy Priorities

Advocacy & Policy Priorities

CDMRP, PCRP, PSA FOR HIM Act, CDC- these might sound like alphabet soup, but after Monday, February 26, you'll know why they matter to prostate cancer patients and how to use your story to help elected officials understand the impact of their choices and how best to help prostate cancer patients and their loved ones.

Research

Research

From discussions of how the Federal Government is addressing the rise in prostate cancer deaths, to discussion about the Prostate Cancer Research Program, learn about the research that is on the frontlines of fighting this disease.

Treatment & Survivorship

Treatment & Survivorship

Oncologists, Urologists, and Sexual Health Specialists will talk about stuff like how chemo works, living with sexual side effects, etc. There will probably be a harrowing image or two in someone's slide deck...

Healthy Living

Healthy Living

How to find good resources online for maximizing patient health, learning about how to advocate for yourself, living with side effects of treatment, and choosing future directions for treatment...

Eliminating Disparities

Eliminating Disparities

Engaging the Black community to get men tested, fighting systemic racism in the healthcare system, and how we can improve education and outreach in high-risk communities.

I left the ZERO Summit changed forever — not just because of the knowledge gained or the excitement of lobbying Capitol Hill, it is because of the people that I met, and relationships forged.

Community Building

Picture hundreds of people who are united around their shared experience of facing prostate cancer. Every ZERO Summit attendee “gets it.” We’ve faced the same sleepless nights. We know the stress that comes with a diagnosis and the battle ahead. Together we are an unstoppable force in support of one another, fervently working to end this disease. We’re here for each other and we’re here for you, no matter where you are in your prostate cancer journey.

You belong with us! We come to build support for one another, and to stand by the men and families who are facing the toughest battles of their lives. We come to learn from the best minds in research about the development of new diagnostics and treatments, and care of those who are facing down this disease. And we come to take action, equipping advocates to make an impact in their home communities, and meeting with elected officials to protect and expand research funding.

It all starts with the Bold for Blue Awards...
