Like any good portfolio, the National Prostate Cancer Coalition is diversified in its funding streams; garnering contributions from corporate partners, individuals, foundations and cause-marketing initiatives.
What's even more important than the money we raise is what we do with it. Our awareness, outreach and advocacy programs are setting the standard in the field of prostate cancer. They are saving lives and making a difference for countless families.
We are extremely careful how we spend the dollars you entrust to the National Prostate Cancer Coalition. As part of that responsibility, we have kept our administrative expenses to less than 6% and only spent 14% on fundraising last year. Which means about 80 cents of every dollar donated goes to programs like advocacy aimed at raising the federal investment in prostate cancer research and our Drive Against Prostate Cancer national screening program that often helps research into new screening methods. We have an efficiency rating higher than many of the most well-known cancer organizations in the world.
